Dr. Kitty Huang

BSc, BVMS (Hons) Murdoch

Dr Kitty has more than 15 years of veterinary care practice in Singapore.
With a special interest in feline medicine and soft tissue surgery, she completed a postgraduate course in feline medicine at the University of Sydney in 2013. She continues to upskill and seek alternative medicine options by completing the Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture course with the Chi Institute.

Dr Kitty is passionate about offering affordable and quality veterinary healthcare to her clients and their beloved companions. She works closely with shelters and community caregivers to provide the required veterinary care and support when needed.

Dr. Genevieve Lim

BSc, DVM Murdoch

Dr Genevieve earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and also obtained a degree in Biomedical Science and Animal Health from Murdoch University, Australia. She is passionate about her profession and takes pride in providing quality care for animals.

Dr Genevieve has an adventurous palate and loves trying new varieties of tea. In her free time, she can often be found savouring her favourite blend while researching her next travel destination and its top attractions. She prefers mountain views over beaches because she finds the beauty of the outdoors captivating. She enjoys hiking and has explored many scenic trails, gaining a deeper appreciation for nature along the way.

James Doe

Practice Manager

Originally from the UK countryside, James moved to Singapore in 2015 and started his career in the veterinary industry. He joined the Furiends family in 2018, supported in the setting up of Furiends Veterinary Clinic and quickly became and integral part of the team.

James has an extensive experience in veterinary practice operations management and client management, ensuring the daily smooth operations of Furiends while prioritizing the exceptional experience for both pawrents and furkids.

James shares his home with a rescued cat who has become a beloved member of his family. With a deep understanding of the bond between pets and their owners, He brings empathy and efficiency to his role, while maintaining high standards aligned with the practice’s core values.

Jonathan Lin

Clinic Receptionist / Admin

Jonathan has 8 years of experience working as a receptionist and has managed people from all walks of life, across continents. He can quickly connect with people and understand their needs.

Jonathan has been pet-sitting since 2015. He is confident with animal handling and enjoys connecting with them.

He has compassion and love for fur friends and will try to provide what’s best for them.

Karen Chng

Veterinary Nurse

Karen earned herself 2 diplomas in Singapore. A diploma in Biotechnology (Singapore Polytechnic, 2011) and a Specialist diploma in Veterinary Clinical Practice (Ngee Ann Polytechnic, 2018). She has good exposure to animal care and handling, having been a zookeeper, dog groomer and pet massage practitioner.

Karen was inspired and motivated to pursue her 2nd diploma and joined the vet nursing field after caring for a very sick cat, which she eventually adopted.

She now has cats, 1 dog, 1 special-needs macaw and 2 tanks of fish and shrimps.

Melvin Lee

Veterinary Nurse

Melvin joined our team in early 2022. He brings along 4 solid years of pet grooming experience, equipped with excellent pet handling skills and pet behavioural knowledge. He seeks to upskill himself through his enrolment in Temasek Polytechnic’s Diploma in Veterinary Technology.

Melvin is passionate about helping people and animals since young. Hence, being able to be part of the animals’ recovery process and helping to positively impact one’s life are great motivation drivers for him to do well in his current role.

Seah Xue Ting

Veterinary Nurse

With over a decade of dedicated service in the healthcare industry, Xue Ting brings a wealth of experience to our team. Her journey in nursing has seen her excel in various roles, including grooming, clinic management, and as a dependable veterinary nurse.

Xue Ting’s passion extends beyond conventional medicine, as she holds a special interest in alternative healing practices, such as Reiki animal healing. Her focus on palliative care showcases her commitment to enhancing the well-being of our furry friends during their most vulnerable moments.
